Questions, answered.
The things people ask us most, about booking, consultations, treatments and products. If what you need isn't here, send us a note at the bottom of the page and we'll come back to you.
Booking an appointment
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online at any hour, or ring the clinic during opening hours on 021 427 7181. Online booking shows you live availability, so you'll see exactly what's free and when.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
Just let us know as early as you can and we'll happily move you. Your booking confirmation email includes a link to reschedule, or you can ring or WhatsApp the clinic.
We do ask for as much notice as you can give, particularly for longer treatments, so we can offer the appointment to someone else.
How long will my appointment take?
It depends on the treatment. A brow thread takes fifteen minutes; a facial is usually an hour; advanced treatments such as HIFU can take up to three hours. Every treatment shows its length when you book online, so you'll know before you arrive.
When are you open?
Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday, 9.30am to 4pm. We're closed on Sundays.
Online booking is open around the clock, so you can book whenever it suits and we'll see it the next morning. If you need to reach a person, ring or WhatsApp us during clinic hours.
Before you book
I don't know what to book. Where do I start?
With a skin consultation. It's thirty minutes with one of our therapists, who will look at your skin properly, talk through what's bothering you and explain honestly what will and won't help. The consultation is €50, and that comes off your first treatment.
If you'd rather talk it through first, ring us or send a WhatsApp and we'll happily point you in the right direction before you book anything.
What happens at a skin consultation?
We sit down and look at your skin properly. You tell us what's been bothering you, what you've already tried and what you're hoping for, and we'll tell you honestly what will help, what won't, and what it will realistically take.
You leave with a plan rather than a hard sell. Nothing is booked on the day unless you want it to be, and the €50 comes off whatever treatment you go on to have. You can book a consultation online.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends entirely on your skin and what you're treating, so we won't guess at it before we've seen you. Some treatments do their work in one visit; others are a course spread over several weeks.
At your consultation we'll tell you how many sessions we'd expect, over what period, and what it will cost in total, so there are no surprises once you've started.
On the day
Is there anything I should do before my treatment?
For most treatments, nothing at all. Come as you are, with or without make-up. For advanced skin treatments we'll send you any preparation notes when you book, and we'll always go through them with you at your consultation.
If you're on prescription skincare, taking any medication that affects the skin, or you're pregnant, do mention it when you book so we can advise you properly.
Can I have a treatment if I'm pregnant or on prescription skincare?
Often yes, but it depends on the treatment, so please tell us when you book rather than on the day. Some of our advanced treatments aren't suitable during pregnancy, and prescription skincare can change how your skin responds.
Let us know and we'll either adjust the treatment or suggest something that suits you better. It's never a wasted call.
Treatments
What treatments do you offer?
Facials and advanced skin treatments, including HIFU lifting, microneedling, RF skin tightening, DMK enzyme therapy, Hydradermie by Guinot, dermaplaning and Dermalux LED. We also do electrolysis, lymphatic massage, waxing and brows.
You can see everything, with prices, on our treatments page. If you're not sure which is right for you, start with a consultation and we'll work it out together.
Products and the shop
Can I buy the products you use in the clinic?
Yes. We stock Guinot, DMK, StoryDerm and Advanced Nutrition in the clinic and in our online shop. Some ranges, DMK in particular, are prescribed after a consultation rather than bought off the shelf, because they're matched to your skin.
How do I know which products suit my skin?
Ask us. Buying the wrong thing is an expensive way to find out it doesn't suit you, and a lot of what we're asked to fix started with a product that was never right for that skin.
If you're already coming in, your therapist will talk you through what to use and in what order. If you're not, ring or WhatsApp us and we'll point you at something sensible.
Gift vouchers
Do you sell gift vouchers?
We do, and they make a lovely present for someone who would never book a treatment for themselves. You can buy a gift voucher online in a few minutes and have it sent straight to their inbox, or pop into the clinic and we'll sort one out for you.
Vouchers can be spent on any treatment or product, so there's no need to guess what would suit them. If you'd like a hand choosing an amount, ring us and we'll talk you through what's popular.
Finding us
Where are you, and where can I park?
We're at 32 Grand Parade, in the middle of Cork city, two minutes from the English Market and a short walk from Patrick Street.
There are car parks on Grand Parade and Paul Street, both a short walk away. If it's your first time finding us, the contact page has a map and directions.
Still not sure?
Ask us directly.
If your question isn't answered above, get in touch and one of the team will come back to you. You can also ring or WhatsApp the clinic during opening hours.
