What it is

Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade, held at an angle and moved gently across the skin, to lift away the top layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, sometimes called peach fuzz. The result is an immediately smoother surface, a brighter look, and better absorption for serums and makeup.

It can be added on to another treatment in just 20 minutes, done as a stand-alone face treatment, or built into a full facial.

Does dermaplaning hurt?

No, most clients describe a light scraping sensation rather than any pain. It's one of the more comfortable exfoliation treatments we offer.

Will my facial hair grow back thicker?

No, this is a myth. Fine vellus hair grows back exactly as it would naturally, the same texture and colour, just at its normal rate.

How often can I have it done?

Every 3 to 4 weeks fits most skin cycles well, matching how long it takes new dead skin cells to build back up.

Can I wear makeup straight afterwards?

Yes, there's no downtime, and many clients find makeup actually goes on more smoothly straight after treatment.
