What it is

Electrolysis treats one hair follicle at a time, using a fine probe to deliver a small electric current that permanently destroys the follicle's ability to grow hair. Because it works on the follicle directly rather than targeting pigment, it's the only hair removal method recognised as truly permanent, and unlike laser, it works on any hair colour, including grey and blonde, and any skin tone.

Sessions are booked in blocks of time, 15 or 30 minutes, and how much is treated depends on the area and how much hair is present.

Who it suits
